The staff of the park have made a sitcom named “Emperor Qianlong Greeting the Guests” for the visitors. They invite the tourists to join the activities such as “ Calligraphy Conferring” and“Fortune Conferring” which are popular among the citizens and tourists. There are also performances of folk arts such as acrobatics, lion dance, dragon dance, stilts, Chinese sedan carrying, facial expression change and other folk arts. The lantern festival lasts from the first to the twentieth day of the first lunar month in the Park. The festival dates back to the Tang Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) when people in Jinan started to exhibit lanterns beside the springs on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month every year. By now, the Park has successfully held 38 lantern festivals since 1965 and become one of the major lantern festival sites in northern China. The prominent subject and unique feature of each festival and the combination of lantern arts and folk culture make the festival a cultural brand of Jinan City and a winter resort for tourists.

The city moat running around the old city of Jinan, also named E & Ying River and River around the City, is the only city moat in China fed by various springs in the city. The area of spring city features, that is the spring tour landscape belt, is a spring tour system built on the basis of the city moat, which enables visitors to "cruise the whole Jinan prefecture in a single boat ".
